Tifway,
also known as Tifton 419, is a fine textured hybrid crossed between
common Bermuda and African Bermuda. Tifway is used as the primary grass
for golf fairways throughout the south and is well suited for home
lawns, ball fields, playgrounds, commercial sites, and anywhere a fine
texture grass is suited. Tifway 419 is very aggressive, disease
tolerant, and dark green in color. This is a high maintenance grass for
home owners needing to be mowed every 3 to 5 days during the growing
season. Handles overseeding well and does not like shade. Overseeded

harvesting.
